Why Drinking Water Is Essential

1)   Why drink a gallon of water a day?

The human body is comprised of approximately 60% H2O, so as one can imagine consuming adequate water is vital to our health! Imagine how great your car would run and how long the motor would last if it had a daily oil change, this is what drinking a gallon a day does for you! Furthermore, it can help you lose weight! In fact, its one of the easiest things you can do to support your weight loss efforts. Drinking water raises your metabolism, improving your fat burning rate.

Water consumption also helps us to feel more full while dieting and keeps the digestive system in good health. It keeps things moving, preventing constipation. Believe it or not, drinking more water will actually lessen bloating! 

In addition to helping with digestion and the absorption of food, water serves to the regulate the body temperature, blood circulation, the carrying of nutrients and oxygen to the cells in the body, movement and protection of the joints and spinal cord, and organs, as well as the removal of toxins. Finally, having adequate water stored in the body serves to de-dimple legs and areas prone to cellulite as it pulls the skin tighter.

The benefits of increased water intake are endless. I recommend a gallon a day to my clients!
